Goodall is a household brand name when it comes to boutique guitar builders. This is their rare Standard model which basically translates to Dreadnought. This particular guitar was built back in Hawaii where I personally feel that their best works had come from.Port Orford Cedar is another very unusual top wood in steel string acoustics, and it imparts the qualities of Spruce and Cedar, while leaning more towards the former in tonality. Myrtle is not a commonly used tonewood either and it has the clean, woody characteristics of Mahogany or Koa. This results in a guitar with a huge sound that is balanced off with a lot of projection and clarity, making it perfect for many different styles. The Myrtle is also very beautiful to behold in person.
