This is 1 of only 5 guitars large bodied guitars ever built by a collaboration between Steve Klein, Steve Kauffman and Paul Schmidt. Steve unfortunately no longer practises luthiery, and that only makes this guitar ever more so valuable! The guitar is in excellent, dare I say mint, condition and certainly doesn’t look its age.

The Sitka has aged so much that it has taken on the colour of Cedar, which speaks to the maturity of the tone. The Brazilian Rosewood needed to build a guitar of this size is probably no longer available in the world given the rarity of the wood itself.

The most striking thing about this Klein is its looks. EVERYTHING about it is unique – the headstock, the rosette, the body shape/size, the asymmetrical bridge, and even the tuners. Truly a piece of art and history.
